We are web designers by trade and we do it for a living. So, you might think that we believe that everyone should have a big beautiful website. The truth is, just like any service or product, it can be beneficial for some and not for others. Though we think every business should have SOME KIND of online presence, a full-blown website might not always be necessary. Every once in a while a client walks through our hypothetical door and we discover that a custom website could actually solve WAY MORE problems for them than we initially imagined. That was the case this year when we took on two different real estate agents' websites and branding projects.
At first glance, we thought these projects would be a nice way for these realtors to have a clean digital home for their basic information. Once we started doing more and more research into the industry, what best practices were, and where SEO rankings were coming in we were shocked. Turns out, that on a local level, there was an abundance of opportunities to have a high-ranking website within search engines. We also discovered so many large real estate agencies have websites but hardly any individual realtors had their own websites or branding. This meant we could design websites that allowed our clients to really stand out from the competition and capture a ton of organic search leads.
We also found unique ways to use our Content Management Systems to help our clients create branded and tailored listing pages to send to their clients. This allows the realtors to send prospective home buyers and tailored online viewing experience of different home options in their desired location. The CMS within the websites we design are also an easy way for realtors to write and publish blog posts, keep their websites relevant with current housing market updates, and tell their clients about local happenings. All of this content aids in advancing their SEO standings.
Another incredible feature that we managed to integrate into one realtor's website was a comprehensive MLS listing page. Everyone who has ever even considered buying a home has heard of Zillow. Zillow is essentially a private MLS listing page that shows available homes in a certain area. We thought, what if we could have a feature like this built into a custom website? Clients could search directly on their realtor's website rather than having to bounc back and forth.
When we design and develop custom websites we truly have the ability to take businesses to the next level through unique solutions tailored to their industry. In just two weeks after launching, one realtor we built a site for received an organic search lead that lead to a sale valued at over $1.8 Million. The other realtor we worked with quickly gained an email list of over 400 people in their county thanks to their submission box on their website making their monthly email newsletters incredibly successful. Both of these clients have seen a steady rise in their local SEO rankings and improved positioning even among large agencies in their area.
